I’m a big fan of Michael Katz’s training programmes. He provides solid insights that are immediately able to be actioned.
When I invested in this 45 part solo professional video marketing course I was surprised by how much I looked forward to the regular dollop of excellent advice on ways to step up my marketing, delivered as three minute webinars. Some of my highlights are outlined below.
#1 – Using call-out quotes to promote your written content
I now use this very simple technique to promote my monthly blog a second time on LinkedIn, without fear of being annoyingly repetitive.
#9 — Why you should never publish your prices
Prices have now been deleted from my website! Michael provides three very sound reasons related to: flexibility, gaining feedback from potential clients on the acceptability of your prices, and retaining the ability to say no to work.
#12 – How to manage your capacity
Like most people I said yes to every work offer when I first set up in business. But if you keep doing that you run the risk of burning out. This video provides a great approach to recognising when you’ve got more work than you can handle well, and how to set boundaries.
#14 – How and why to rank your clients
Michael shares the criteria and process he uses to rank his clients. It provides clarity on why some clients are better to work with than others. (This ties in really well with the Pumpkin Plan approach described on the previous page.)
