I felt a bit shame-faced when The Wealthy Freelancer arrived through the post. The cover picture of a bright red convertible car was off-putting, and the word 'wealthy' is quite confrontational too - I feared this was going to be a very money-focused book that didn't really match my Kiwi values and way of life. (I had chosen it after reading other work by these authors.)
However, it's brilliant. The authors' definition of being a wealthy freelancer is defined more broadly as having the projects, clients, income and lifestyle you want.
I can definitely buy into that, and the 12 secrets described in this book on how to achieve this type of wealth are practical and valuable.
