I trained as a journalist and worked at the Hamilton Press prior to working at a unitary council as a planning adviser and senior policy planner. In these roles I developed resource management plan changes and a climate change action plan before establishing NZ Writing Services in 2014.
My BA (Hons) in English Literature was preceded by a double major in English and Biology. I have diplomas in journalism, environmental studies and creative writing. I have also benefited from a broad range of informal courses including editing, article writing and business courses.
In addition to NZ Writing Services, I also provide a specialist writing service for local government, at www.writingforcouncils.co.nz. I write a personal blog which is mostly about books at www.debrabradley.co.nz.
My home is in Nelson with Dean and our mini-schnauzer, Max. Dean is an artist, and you can see his work at www.deanbradley.co.nz. Dean and I have also co-authored two novels.
